Olivia Wilde And Harry Styles Are Over After Almost 2 Years

Crack one open for delusional Harry Styles stans because he’s back on the market! Yes, the love story that captivated a news cycle is over. After two years of putting on a show for the paps, Olivia Wilde and Harry have officially called it quits. They survived the news stories about their questionable dating timeline, Jason Sudeikis allegedly throwing himself under a car, and Miss Flo’s grossed out gaze, but they couldn’t survive getting bored with each other’s asses. Who will be privy to Olivia’s special salad dressing now?!

Around the end of 2020, Olivia and Jason broke off their marriage, and Olivia was soon seen canoodling with Harry. Rumor spread that Olivia was humping on Harry while she was still with Ted Lasso and that the young English singer broke up the marriage. This scandal of the century led to a series of events where Olivia denied the claims, and Jason served up custody papers to his ex onstage at CinemaCon. Then came the nightmare that was the Don’t Worry Darling press tour, where we discovered that Florence Pugh hated Olivia. Some said she detested that the director was getting it on with the acting talent (loosely applied) on-set while some questionable nannies said it was because Flo had hooked up with Harry first. Meanwhile, Harry was suspected of avoiding his girlfriend on the red carpet. Also, Chris Pine may or may not have been spat upon. In short, the backstage drama was as much of a disaster as the reviews for DWD. Now the show has come to an end. via Page Six:

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are still friends despite their split.

“There is no bad blood between them. Harry didn’t dump Olivia, or vice versa,” a source tells Page Six exclusively.

“This is the longest relationship Harry’s ever had, so clearly they have a special bond.”

The insider points out that the challenges of dating long-distance contributed to Wilde, 38, and Styles, 28, pressing pause after nearly two years of dating.

“They’re on a break. It’s impossible to have a relationship when he’s in every continent next year and Olivia has her job and her kids,” the source explains.

“This is the right thing for both of them.”

A “break” is PR speak for “one of them really wanted to hump on someone else.” Does this mean we won’t get to see Olivia do her sweet dance moves at Styles’s concerts? You can breathe a sigh of relief because we’ll still be subjected to them, according to People.

Indeed, Wilde — along with her children, daughter Daisy, 6, and son Otis, 8 (she co-parents with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis) — were spotted dancing and singing along at Styles’ Nov. 15 concert in Los Angeles.

“They’re still very close friends,” says the source of the pair. Adds a friend: “Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart.”

I guess she’ll still get a V.I.F (very important friend) pass which allows for free entry, but you pay for the drinks yourself. Now that it’s over, Olivia can go back to directing some indie films, and Harry can go back to singing and wearing “daring” unisex jumpsuits. And we can go back to tracking the ACTUAL greatest romance of our time: Pete Davidson and whatever celebrity he’s managed to bag this week!
