Meghan McCain Is Thinking About Running For Public Office

The View’s former conservative co-host and some guy’s daughter, Meghan McCain has been keeping busy after leaving the talk show by not selling books and shouting hot takes into the air for anyone who will listen. Unfortunately criticizing TV shows for going “woke” doesn’t bring in the cash, so Meghan is ready to take her “Bad Republican” road on the show and make her grand debut on the political stage. Don’t be surprised when the Supreme Court upholds Meghan’s move to make Top Gun: Maverick play in theaters 365 days a year!

Since her grand departure from The View, Meghan’s been incessantly tweeting and contributing articles to The Daily Mail like why the other Meghan with an H shouldn’t run for office just because she’s related to someone famous. I presume Meghan will have a whole series dedicated to the topic of irony very soon. But tweets and think pieces just aren’t enough to contain Meghan’s views. She’s now considering a political position. via Newsweek:

During an appearance on British TV network GB News earlier this week, McCain was asked if she would ever consider following in the footsteps of her father by running for a political post.

“Maybe in a few years. It’s the first time in my entire life I’ve ever considered it. But this fever of MAGA has to break—one way or the other,” said McCain, who departed The View last summer.

“President Trump has to get re-elected—God forbid—again, or he has to just leave the national stage. Because as we have seen in the last election and in the primaries right now, he can’t make candidates but he can break them,” she said. “And right now there’s still just a lot of people who are winning that are following in his footsteps and I would really love more ideological diversity in the party.”

As we know, Meghan is very good at handling ideological diversity and differing viewpoints. It’s why she and Whoopi Goldberg got on so well on The View! Meghan went on to say that the main thing standing in between her and a new office in D.C . is not her non-MAGA stance but her family name. You know, the only reason we know who she is and have been subjected to her.

“There’s a big disdain for political families in the country right now,” she said. “It’s very populist. President [George W.] Bush’s nephew [George P. Bush], I believe, just ran for office and lost in Texas in his home state. There’s a real palette for it where people really don’t like it.”

Yeah, that’s the reason why people wouldn’t want Meghan in Congress. Not because of her miserable personality or awful views. It’s because of her dad. Everything is because of her dad, after all! Her run isn’t fully confirmed but if Meghan does become an actual political figure, God help us even more. But I hope she hires her old hairstylist. We could use more laughs.
