Open Post: Hosted By Cardi B Demonstrating How She Changes Diapers With Her Nails

Cardi B’s nails are very, very long. At their longest, they measure about 2 inches, the same length as a bald eagle’s talons. Now, as someone who bites their nails short, I often lay awake at night wondering how Cardi and her nails complete everyday tasks like typing, washing dishes, and anything bathroom-related. And I’m not the only one. Rapper Kash Doll took to Twitter to ask Cardi how she manages to change her baby son Wave’s diapers, as she’s struggling as a new mom who also wears press-ons. Cardi graciously responded with a 2-minute video that gives step-by-step instructions and uses a teddy bear as a stand-in for her baby. Thank you, Professor Cardi B.

I’ve never changed a baby’s diaper, so, actually, this was a very educational video for me. Cardi says you gotta make sure to clean “the butt cheeks, the butt cheeks, the butt cheeks, the butt cheeks, make sure it’s clean!” As she demonstrates how to clean the butt hole, her 3-year-old daughter Kulture wanders over and asks, “Mommyyy? Why you cleaning the butt… hole?” Cardi tells her it’s a long story, and Kulture sits down to watch her mother at work. Cardi puts a new diaper on the teddy bear and admits the toughest part is clipping the outfit’s crotch snaps. She says she can do it pretty fast, though, because she has two kids and she’s had these long nails since she was 19. Here’s the video:

After the camera stopped rolling, the teddy bear sat up and announced, “OK, Cardi. I was your baby for the day. Now where’s my $20,000 Birkin bag?!” And she had no choice but to comply. No playing favorites in the Cardi B/Offset house!
