Nelly Charged Toward Fans After Getting Hit In The Head With Something

The clurb is a dangerous place. You can fall in love in the club. You can get alcohol poisoning in the club. You can get jumped in the club. Lots to avoid! But those banging beats! They keep the people coming back. People, being rapper Nelly, who was out and about at a Miami clurb when someone decided to chuck something at him from the balcony above. Does Madonna have an alibi?! And Nelly responded by running at his fans (yes, he has fans, still!).

Complex says that Nelly was at Miami’s E11even club when this situation went down:

But it wasn’t just confetti raining from the sky and adoration for Nelly. Also, random objects rained down from the sky as well. When something hit him in the head, the rapper reportedly went off “in a heated search for the responsible party.” Get her, Jade!

The video, captured by TMZ and slightly detailed by an eyewitness, shows the Country Grammar lyricist relaxing with his entourage, enjoying the sounds of Sheck Wes’ Mo Bamba, before an object bounces off his head. Nelly is seen putting his hand to the back of his head and pivoting his attention briefly to the balcony before climbing over seats to find the assailant.

Club security reportedly stepped in and deescalated the situation, and Nelly ended up returning to perform some throwbacks later that evening, including Chingy’s Right Thurr and J-Kwon’s Tipsy.

Here’s some footage of Nelly at the clurb:

Nelly recently defended TI after he got heckled at a nightclub (and also got aggressive in another comic’s face) saying that all comics get heckled and it’s a part of comedy. And I mean, do these same rules apply? Is rappers avoiding nightclub stray cans a new part of rap?

Well, Nelly is no Jason DeRulo, he managed to actually fight his hecklers. Not that Nelly ever even had a chance of finding who threw whatever at him; have you been in a nightclub? Can’t find shit in there! Except maybe some COVID.
