Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Are Still Talking About Getting Married
It’s been a minute since we checked in on the status of Jennifer Lopez’s wedding ring finger, and the last time we held a magnifying glass over that digit, it was still vacant and empty. But fear not, JLo’s wedding ring finger, for your time might soon be coming again! At least, according to a source who spoke with Entertainment Tonight, who claims that Ben Affleck is so close to popping the question.
Very recently, Bennifer made the commitment of buying a place together by dropping $50 million on a Bel-Air mansion. But Ben and JLo are still not engaged. However, it shouldn’t be too much longer. According to the source that spoke with Entertainment Tonight, marriage is still an “ongoing conversation” between the original recipe Bennifer, via ET:
“Ben and Jen can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together and know that they were destined to be together,” the source says. “An engagement is on the table and it has been an ongoing conversation.”
“They actively talk about what didn’t work in the past and use those experiences to strengthen their relationship now, for the future and for the sake of themselves and their families,” the source adds. “They are committed to having a healthy, everlasting relationship.”
So Ben and JLo know they’ll still be together when one of them has to spoon-feed the other one easy-to-digest purees, which is why they’re not speed-walking down the aisle right now. Okay, that makes sense. But what about those things that didn’t work in the past? What specifically? Do they have one thing that they regard as relationship kryptonite, that if revisited, could implode the whole thing and have JLo whipping an engagement ring at Ben and telling him to go back to the Dunkin’ drive-thru where he came from? You know what, it’s totally a DVD copy of Gigli that they keep locked in a steel-bolted box and buried in an underground bunker.
Because we sure as hell know it isn’t obviously choreographed public displays of affection. That worked for them in the past, and it’s definitely still a formula that works for them to this day! The Daily Mail reports that Ben and JLo were spotted strolling around Pacific Palisades yesterday, and what do you know? A nearby photographer just so happened to catch them smooching on camera.

Hmm, what’s the occasion for such a romantic moment? Yes, technically the only reason they need is a day that ends in a Y. Or maybe JLo was jealous of all the attention Ben was getting for that undeniable chemistry he shares with his slinky magnetic on-screen co-star in Deep Water, and JLo thought, “There’s no way I’m letting that snail get all the headlines this week!”
