Wendy Williams Says She’ll Return To “The Wendy Williams Show” Stronger Than Ever

Wendy Williams has been absent from The Wendy Williams Show for so long, that the people in charge recently decided to transition the show from having a rotating panel of temporary guest hosts to a full-time permanent guest host. That honor goes to Sherri Shepherd. It seems like Wendy may never return to her show on account of Sherri’s promotion, and the reports that Wendy continues to be going through it, mentally, physically, and financially. But Wendy recently gave everyone an update on (Wendy voice) how she doin’, and she says she’s doing well enough that she’s already planning her triumphant return to The Wendy Williams Show.

Recently, Wendy has been fighting with Wells Fargo over freezing her bank accounts. WF filed legal papers saying that they are looking out for her best interests and believe that she’s being exploited. Wendy denied this and stated that she’s mentally okay to handle her own money. Wendy has also been fighting against rumors that she has been using a wheelchair and that she might have been diagnosed with dementia.

But in Wendy’s six-segment video, which was recorded by her son Kevin Hunter Jr. and uploaded to Instagram, she explains that she’s “doing okay” as she strolls along a beach in Miami, FL. Wendy covers a lot of topics in her video. It’s like she conducted her own Wendy Williams Show on location from that beach. But the general idea here, in between Wendy’s little sidebars about New York vs. Florida and how she only eats two bites of a burger before throwing the rest out, is that everyone has their issues, including her, and her plans are to return to her show after this hiatus. via Yahoo! Wendy then said, “Excuse me, I am going back stronger. At 56 years old, there are things that happen to people. I would say things usually start about 40 and they go up from there, you know, so you’ve got to eat the right food.” Later, adding “I wanna be all I can be and then get back to New York and get on down with the Wendy Williams Show.”

It’s not known when Wendy’s alleged return might happen. So far, Sherri Shepherd has signed on to host the rest of this season, and, pending Wendy’s health issues, could possibly return to host next season come September. But according to Wendy, she’ll be back and stronger than ever. And part of me believes her too. It takes all the strength you’ve got to walk on a windy beach in Florida in February. That Atlantic ocean wind will take your hat, your hair, your hoodie, and your sandals, all while making you feel like you’re pulling a car behind you. Not to mention the constant threat of seagull poo landing on whatever the wind hasn’t stolen from you. Can that kind of fortitude translate to daytime TV hosting?
