Adele Is Doing A Las Vegas Residency After All

After it was rumored that Adele was doing a Las Vegas residency, she denied it, saying that all of the theaters are booked up so there’s no room for her. That didn’t make any sense since I’m sure any resort would build a giant theater at warp speed in their parking lot just to get Adele to perform for them. Well, this sneaky Brit was lying the whole time and has announced a Caesars Palace residency today. So get your grandma’s vaccination booster and book your tickets, because this shit is probably already pre-sold out.
Considering that millions of people tuned in to watch Adele’s CBS special, one can assume that Las Vegas is about to become a hotbed of Adele-stan activity. Variety says that Weekends With Adele will start January 21, 2022, and she’ll perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Hotel for 12 weekends until her last show on April 16, 2022. Adele herself posted about her residency:

Presale tickets have already gone on sale through registration using Ticketmaster Verified Fan, and tickets are in limited supply, so if the Verified Fans purchases exceed the supply, there won’t even be a public on-sale. And I was not kidding about booster shots, because Caesars doesn’t have a vaccine mandate at this time. via Variety:
The Colosseum, which has an official capacity of 4,100, provides a relatively intimate environment for Adele’s famously chatty concerts, which find her stately and often-sad songs contrasting with her bawdy humor and hilarious, self-deprecating banter (the show scheduled for this coming April Fool’s Day should have some good jokes). Adele’s shows take place across consecutive weekends, except for Feb. 18-19, when Van Morrison — who has taken an outspoken stance against the Covid-19 vaccine — is performing at the venue. Apparently, Caesars Palace has no vaccine requirement for these or any concerts.
Here’s a list of all Adele’s shows:
- Weekend 1: Friday, Jan. 21 – Saturday, Jan. 22
- Weekend 2: Jan. 28 – 29
- Weekend 3: Feb. 4 – 5
- Weekend 4: Feb. 11 – 12
- Weekend 5: Feb. 25 – 26
- Weekend 6: March 4 – 5
- Weekend 7: March 11 – 12
- Weekend 8: March 18 – 19
- Weekend 9: March 25 – 26
- Weekend 10: April 1 – 2
- Weekend 11: April 8 – 9
- Weekend 12: April 15 -16
So since there might not be a public presale, I’m guessing that the crowd will be filled with mega fans and celebrities, kind of like her One Night Only special. Oh well, at least Oprah has a few weeks to learn the lyrics to Adele’s songs.
