Open Post: Hosted By Emma Thompson Dancing To Adele
If I told you there was a famous Brit who was doing the absolute most at Adele’s concert An Audience With Adele, which took place in London over the weekend, would you believe it wasn’t James Corden? Why not? Have I not proven myself to be a reliable source of celebrity entertainment news over the years? Well, brace yourselves, because I’m about to tell you that very thing! And I don’t want any emails or comments accusing me of shoddy journalism and fibbery. You couldn’t miss James in the audience for Adele’s One Night Only concert last week in LA (he was also a producer), but it was Emma Thompson, THE Nanny McPhee, who was acting a fool and “this my jam!”-ing all over the place like your favorite fun drunk auntie at a wedding.
Eyes — closed, rapturously. Hands — thrown in the air without a care. Mouth — singing along to Rolling In The Deep with wild abandon. Here’s Emma reminding her countrymen that this is a concert, not a fucking tea party.

Not only was Emma threatening Flava Flav’s bag as hype-man extraordinaire, she also had a special surprise for Adele. According to Huffington Post, during this concert, “instead of being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, this time, Adele was quizzed by members of her celebrity guest list.” Emma asked her “if she had someone who inspired and supported her when she was younger,” and Adele answered, without hesitation, “Yeah, I had a teacher at Chestnut Grove [Academy] who taught me English. That was Miss McDonald.”
That’s when Thompson announced that Miss McDonald was present, and she made her way up to the stage to see her former pupil. After a tearful embrace, the two had a brief catchup.
Here’s Emma presenting Adele with a beloved mentor instead of a wad of ABC gum like someone else we know.
We all have that one teacher who changed our life… such a beautiful reunion! ❤️
*PS, would totally buy Alan Carr’s version of ‘Make You Feel My Love* 🤣@Adele #AnAudienceWithAdele https://t.co/2ZZI2RS0mI pic.twitter.com/hlTOOZKt5j

She should have invited Emma to do the song for her while she fixed her face. Emma obviously knows all the words unlike someone else we know.
