Chris Evans And Lily James Were Seen Sneaking Around London Together

All those Knives Out fans are going to have to wait a while for the Knives Out sequel they’ve been promised. But luckily, there’s been plenty of Knives Out-adjacent relationship gossip to keep them occupied in the meantime. Who is doing it where, and with who?! First, they got the torrid love-hate relationship between Ana de Armas and her fan account (they love her, while she hates them). But if that’s not a mysterious enough of a relationship, we’ve got Chris Evans being seen at a hotel in London with Lily James.

And if the comings and goings of Captain America’s crotch don’t pique your interest, and are far more interested in Cinderella’s hookup history, then this should be of interest to you. It looks like Lily’s really not seeing Matt Smith anymore. The Daily Mail says that 31-year-old Lily was seen in London early Saturday morning with 39-year-old Chris. The two reportedly spent some time at the private members-only Mark’s Club, then were seen leaving together in the same taxi at around 1 am.

Personally, if I had spent time in a club, then a cab, in the third most infected country in the world, without so much as a hint of a face mask in sight, my first stop after the club would be the nearest COVID-19 testing site. Lily and Chris reportedly went to his hotel instead, but used separate hotel entrances, with Chris taking the front, and Lily coming in the back. Maybe she didn’t want hotel staff to know she’s banging Tyler from Mystery Date? Or maybe she just didn’t want people asking what happened to Matt Smith. Because the last we heard, they were maybe quarantining together. Lily and Matt were seen on a socially distanced walk back in March, and on a bike ride in May.

People magazine reached out to both Lily and Chris’ reps to confirm if anything romantic is going on here, but no one had anything to say about that. It’s interesting to note that Lily and Chris’ real-life mystery date was photographed at around 1 am on Saturday, which was July 4th. And Chris is Captain America. Yet, how was he celebrating Independence Day? By sneaking around London with an English actress. Well, at least someone got to celebrate America’s most patriotic ass that day. All we got was the opportunity to live vicariously through a lousy Twitter picture, courtesy of Mark Ruffalo.

I can’t help but wonder if when Chris finally met up with Lily in the hotel lobby, he looked at his watch, realized what day it was, and asked if she wanted to see his rocket’s red glare by the dawn’s early light.
