Shailene Woodley And Aaron Rodgers Are Dating
E! News is reporting that Shailene Woodley might have a new guy to munch bugs with (that’s not an entomology-themed euphemism for oral sex). Sources say that Shailene and pro football quarterback Aaron Rodgers are currently involved in a “private and low key romance.”
Sources say that 29-year-old Shailene and 37-year-old Aaron have been casually dating and are currently doing the long-distance thing, due to his career as a ball-grabber (in the NFL, come on), and her career as an actress. Shailene is currently in Montreal, Canada filming the movie Misanthrope, while Aaron is in Green Bay, Wisconsin, because he plays for the team with those delightful foam cheese hats. But that doesn’t mean they’re not so casual they’re forgetting they’re even dating someone. via E! News:
“They have seen each other and been in touch,” the insider tells us. “They continue to talk and see each other when they can. They are both focused on their careers but they also make time for each other.”
That plan of romance action really shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been following Shailene’s love life. The last famous person she was linked to was a Fijian soccer player named Ben Volavola. In April of this year, she admitted it was over, and explained that they were on the road to marriage and babies, but that she just wasn’t ready to commit to that kind of a life change. Aaron had been dating racecar driver Danica Patrick for about two and a half years, but they called things off last summer.
A source who spoke to UsWeekly has a hint about how a couple like Shailene and Aaron might have met because that is the missing puzzle piece here. Based on Shailene’s own admission that she doesn’t watch TV, this sounds like the kind of relationship that happened after Shailene bumped into Aaron at some fancy celebrity event, and was like, “I don’t know who you are, but you look like you spend a lot of time in the sun, and so do I! Want to date?” But apparently, they were friends previously to hooking up.
“Aaron and Shailene are dating!” a source tells Us Weekly. “They started off as friends, but things have turned romantic. The two are staying in contact while they are living away from each other. The relationship is long-distance for right now, but they are making it work.”
Shailene and Aaron were rumored to have gotten together back in July, which was also the same time it was announced that he and Danica were done. I don’t know if that means this could potentially get messy due to a possibly messy start, but Aaron would probably welcome that kind of drama. After all, it would be a nice change to have a girlfriend and an ex fighting, as opposed to a girlfriend and his closest DNA relatives.
