It’s Official! Jesse Williams And Aryn Drake-Lee Are Finally Divorced
Two significant events occurred in April of 2017. Kendall Jenner ended police brutality and unified the nation by handing an officer a Pepsi Cola, and Jesse Williams and his wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, filed for divorce. Jesse and Aryn spent the intervening years locked in a messy court battle trying to hash out a spousal and child support agreement and airing all their dirty laundry in public whereas, at that same time, America has become a nation free from division and oppression. Well according to TMZ, Jesse and Aryn finally achieved what could have been done years ago by just handing each other a can of pop. At long last, their divorce has been finalized.
Jesse and Aryn were married for five years but together for 13. They have two kids, Sadie, 6, and Maceo, 5. They split soon after rumors of an affair with Minka Kelly surfaced. In the years since they filed for divorce, they’ve fought over money, schedules, birthday cupcakes, money, his “violent temper,” money, introducing his “revolving door” of lady friends to the kids, and money. All that’s over now. The only thing left to argue about is when and how Jesse is allowed to post pictures of the kids on Instagram. Aryn had previously argued that he only posts the kids to make himself look a “good guy.”
According to the legal docs, obtained by TMZ … they will share joint legal and physical custody of their 2 young children — son Maceo and daughter Sadie. However, they have to meet and confer with each other about posting images of the kids on social media.
As for major financial business … Aryn gets to keep the former family house in L.A., along with places in Brooklyn and Oakland. She’s also keeping a leased 2017 Audi Q7 SUV and 2018 Q5 SUV, while Jesse gets to keep his leased 2018 Porsche Cayenne SUV. They really dig SUVs.
The good news for Jesse — he’s also keeping the $936,810 he made in profits from “Grey’s Anatomy” since their 2017 separation.
Other accounts and royalties accumulated during their marriage will be split up, and of course … Jesse’s still on the hook for child support. According to the docs, he owes $50,629 per month for the 2 kids up until October 2019, and then $40k per month after that.
Jesse also has to pay Aryn, who is a real estate agent, two final spousal support payments of $50,695 each. Don’t worry, Jesse probably makes that much walking through the background in a lab coat on a single episode of Grey’s. Aryn’s on her own after that. Too bad she’s not a skinny white lady or she could apply for a job on Selling Sunset to supplement her income. After this mess of a divorce, we know she’s not afraid to bring the drama. And if Ayrn’s to be believed, Jesse is just as trifling as Justin Hartley, if not more!
