Open Post: Hosted By Ariana Grande’s “Midsommar” Themed Birthday Party

June 28, 2020 / Posted by:

Oh, that Ariana Grande! Such a hip and totally down to earth girl living permanently on the absolute cutting edge. Seriously though, throwing birthday parties after the age of 21 is just stupid. And giving them themes is a level of narcissism that I can’t even begin to comprehend (I’m just bitter because nobody came to the Little Women-themed New Years party I threw last December). But, never one to miss an opportunity to take cute, grainy photos of herself, Ariana brought her love of the 2019 horror movie “Midsommar” to a whole new level this weekend.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ariana is obsessed with “Midsommar”––and has been for since it first came out. In fact, she says it’s her favorite bedtime movie.

Ariana is so obsessed that she even went as far as attempting to buy Florence Pugh‘s dress from the A24 auction held back in April. And while she apparently didn’t get the dress, she also didn’t let it ruin her 27th birthday party, some snaps of which she shared on her Instagram account yesterday.

The photos, which I can’t really get mad at because they appear to show her celebrating responsibly with a limited number of friends and family, including her brother, Frankie Grande––and not a single Costco sheet cake in sight, are cute. And that was probably by design, because, according to the comments, the photos seem to have caught the attention of one Ms. Florence Pugh herself.

Now that Ariana has got the official Midsommar seal of approval, hopefully, she’ll be cast in a lower-budget sequel, which is probably what she was after all along. I mean, we’ve all seen “Scream Queens” (haha). We know how great a horror actress Ariana can be.
