Lizzo Called Out TikTok For Removing Her Bikini Vids

March 5, 2020 / Posted by:

Hear ye, hear ye! Lizzo has been wronged! No need to hide, Postmates, this time it ain’t you. The Queen of Body Positivity has been posting bikini videos on TikTok, and, apparently, the app has been taking them down. So Lizzo took to TikTok (a sentence that wouldn’t have made any goddamn sense 3 years ago) to air her grievances and suggest that, “Hey, this probably wouldn’t have happened to a skinnier girl”.

Here’s Lizzo shaking her head at TikTok:

Lizzo’s right. I’m on that TikTok shit, and have opened the app over FOUR TIMES. So I’ve done my research. And I definitely saw some skinny white teenagers in bikinis attempting strange arm dances. Their bodies seem to be acceptable, so why not the Lizzo’s? Her fans agreed!

via People:

Lizzo’s fans and followers were quick to leave supportive and body positive messages in the comment section of the post, which received 1.5 million likes by Wednesday afternoon.

“Because you’re glowing queen, and people cannot handle!” one TikTok user wrote. “It’s because your beauty blocked their eyesight,” a second user joked.

Jesus, that’s what I need. A fleet of worshippers in my corner. Last night I took to Instagram stories to cry “MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE!” after my pizza was delivered with no dipping sauce. 100 views, zero messages of support for my trauma. What’s the point of any of this unless you’re famous?

But Lizzo fans needn’t worry. Now that she put TikTok on blast, I doubt they’ll take down any more of her videos. In the meantime, worshippers can enjoy all of Lizzo’s body on Instagram.

You get a picture and a pun. But please, nobody teach Jillian Michaels how to hack. We don’t need anymore social media drama.
