Justin Bieber Has Been Accused Of Not Playing Fair In An Attempt To Get His Latest Single To #1

Where does one turn when prayer alone is no longer enough? If you’re Justin Bieber, one turns to Instagram. Having already succumb to the ravaging effects of chronic mono and Lyme disease, Justin’s latest bout with God’s wrath comes in the form of a poorly performing single. According to Uproxx, Justin’s being accused of a desperate attempt to get his single, Yummy (gross), to the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 list by posting detailed instructions on Instagram about how to game the system by means of jiggery pokery. That includes streaming the song on repeat while you are sleeping, and buying it multiple times directly from Justin’s website. The post has since been deleted, but now we have an answer to the question WWJD? (for a #1 single)

Uproxx reports:

Music fans are accusing Justin Bieber of trying to game the streaming numbers of his new song “Yummy” to achieve a No. 1 placement on next week’s Billboard Hot 100. While it’s common practice for artists to encourage fans to stream and buy their new projects — and just plain good business sense — some think that Bieber’s latest strategy, which involved posting detailed instructions to employ VPN apps and play “Yummy” on repeat at low volumes, is just “dirty pool,” especially as “Yummy” is currently locked into a neck-and-neck race with Roddy Ricch‘s “The Box” for the No. 1 spot.

Uproxx wasn’t able to confirm that the above post actually came from Justin’s account because it’s been deleted, but since it totally seems like something he would do, nobody’s really questioning it. It was most likely a report from a fan account.

That’s so crazy because MY latest single is actually called Easily Spreaded! According to Billboard, Justin’s really pushing Yummy hard. It’s his first solo offering since 2015.

In promotion of his latest single “Yummy,” Justin Bieber has put together some sweet packages for his fans, including limited-edition signed Yummy x Drew House CDs, 7″ vinyls and cassettes, not to mention the music video, animated Drew House video, fan lip-sync compilation and epic dance clips.

Those are all in addition to a Yummy themed video game.

There’s also this sinister cry for help.

Pray with me now. Lord Jesus, we ask that you watch over Yummy and protect it from obscurity, we pray for its meteoric rise to the top of the charts and we humbly ask that you, in your infinite wisdom, use your Master Spotify account and stream it on repeat. There’s a dope Drew sweatshirt with your name on it if you do (well with Drew on it, but you know what I mean). Lord, we thank you for these blessings, Amen.
