William Shatner Filed For Divorce From His Wife Of 18 Years

Should I, by the grace of God, make it to the ripe old age of 88, I’d rather just go ahead and die than go through a divorce. And I haven’t even watched Marriage Story yet! This is apparently not the case for William Shatner who has just filed for divorce from his (fourth) wife of 18 years, Elizabeth Shatner. According to TMZ, Bill, who is worth $100 million, and Elizabeth have a prenup in place. So Elizabeth may only leave the marriage with the sack full of goodies she managed to squirrel away during their marriage. Grab those Golden Throats masters now before it’s too late, Liz!

TMZ reports:

The ‘Star Trek’ actor just filed for divorce against his wife, Elizabeth, whom he got hitched with back in 2001. Sources familiar with the matter tell us Bill and Liz’s split should move along relatively smoothly, as we’re told the couple has a prenup.

Our sources say the Shatners are still negotiating the financial terms — but one thing won’t be an issue … spousal support. We’re told, per the terms of the prenup, neither party will receive any support from the other.

Elizabeth is 61 years old, and she and Bill don’t have any kids together. TMZ says this divorce is on the fast track and is “almost a done deal at this point.” Now, this is wild speculation on my part, but I did notice Bill has been engaging in a flirty back and forth on Twitter with Amy Bruni, former Ghost Hunters star and co-star and producer of the paranormal investigation show Kindred Spirits. And while I’d rather just go ahead and die before Twitter flirting with someone young enough to be my grandchild, that’s apparently not the case for Bill.

Elizabeth, girl, I screen-captured these tweets in case you need them as proof to annul that prenup! Call me.
