Johnny Depp’s Girlfriend Dumped Him
We reported back in April that 56-year-old Johnny Depp was seeing a 24-year-old Russian go-go dancer named Polina Glen, which sounded like the perfect recipe for a headline that read: “Johnny Depp divorce predicted to turn messy after marrying Russian go-go dancer without a prenup.” According to The Daily Mail, Polina didn’t want the inevitable headache that comes from being with Johnny Depp, and she has dumped him after about seven months together. Friends tell The Daily Mail that Polina ended things with Johnny and returned home to Russia, because the attention she received as Johnny Depp’s girlfriend was “scary.”
Polina posted this video of herself last week, and tagged her location as Saint Petersburg.
The Daily Mail adds that there was talk in recent weeks that Johnny and Polina might get married at his home in Hollywood, but that’s clearly very much off at this time. A source says:
“Polina hated the attention the relationship was bringing her and found it scary. She’s now keeping her head down in Russia and told Johnny plans to get married were madness.”
According to that source, Polina is in Russia for the foreseeable future. Amber Heard just sent a bottle of Champagne all the way to Polina in Russia, with a note congratulating her on the smartest decision she ever made. And while some 24-year-olds dancers might hook up with Johnny Depp as an aspiring famewhore move, that wasn’t Polina’s motivation at all.
“Despite sneers that Polina was only with Johnny for his fame, she kept her head down while living with him, going to her dance choreography job and then back to his house. His level of celebrity and his ongoing battle with Amber grew too much for her.”
Apparently Johnny was very smitten with Polina and was desperate to meet her parents, but that never happened. He was also reportedly committed to marrying her, but she thought he was too distracted with his ongoing defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. Johnny has spent the past year fighting with Amber over her accusations that he allegedly got violent with her while they were married.
Polina’s intuition to leave before a marriage happened was correct. Even if she was able to ignore every red flag going into a relationship with Johnny, there’s no way they could have a successful wedding. Which is to say they wouldn’t even make it to the I dos. Johnny’s lawyer would crash the ceremony, The Graduate-style, by banging wildly on a window, screaming about a new crazy accusation against Amber (“She faked that leaked drunken video by using cardboard cut-outs and dubbed audio, just like Home Alone!“). Johnny’s heart would take over, and he’d run to his true love (messy drama), leaving Polina standing alone at the altar. Polina, you’re truly better off.
