Lindsay Lohan Slams Zendaya’s Met Gala Look As A Rip-Off Of Claire Danes’ Met Gala Look From 2016

It shouldn’t really surprise anyone that the black sheep of the Entertainment industry Lindsay Lohan has crawled out from underneath her bridge to participate in some good old-fashioned trolling after Monday’s Met Gala. She probably scoured the internet for hours picking apart each outfit she found until she came across Zendaya‘s Cinderella-themed look and shouted “A ha! This is how I’ll get attention!” because she is now claiming Zendaya’s entire look is the Market Pantry version of Claire Daneslight-up look from 2016’s Met Gala.

Us Weekly says that Lindsay, who hasn’t been to the Met Gala since 2007, served snark and judgment straight to an Instagram post where she placed her thoughts directly on a photo featuring Zendaya in the gown.

“Claire Danes did that with @ZacPosen already.” Lohan, 32, wrote in a comment to a photo of Zendaya, 22, posted to the @DisneyLifestylers account.

The Mean Girls star then addressed Danes, 40, directly. “@ClaireDanes, you wore this dress so beautifully,” she wrote in a follow-up comment. “I don’t know why someone thinks that they can be more chic. Ever.”

Somebody get Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach on the phone so he can take his Fairy Godbrutha wand and use it on Lindsay until she transforms back into a frog.

I will say this though, in comparison, the two dresses do favor each other slightly. But Claire’s 2016 Met Gala appearance, where the theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology, was made to reflect the theme more so than any specific character. And according to E! Online Zac Posen, who created Claire’s dress, was more concerned with staying on task than anything else.

It must be said that both women wore equally dazzling dresses, but Zendaya was the only one who intentionally paid homage to the storybook character. Zac Posen, who designed Danes’ 2016 dress, previously shared that he hoped to meet that year’s theme by creating a gown that highlighted “the place where technology and fantasy meet.” However, in no part of his description did he mention Cinderella.

So the two dresses look similar. Who cares?! I think Lindsay’s just mad because she knows her days of going to the Met Gala are long gone. That is unless she wants her escort to be a guy named “security” who places a pair of bracelets called “handcuffs” on her before leading her in the opposite direction away from the gala. Because clearly she’s a mess. Case in point: this nonsensicalness.
