“A Star Is Born” Was One Of Things That Led To Bradley Cooper And Irina Shayk’s Split

There’s no need to look at that picture of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper after reading that headline and scream that you knew it. Gaga is only associated to this story in the professional sense. It’s A Star Is Born that might be the other woman in this situation.

Last week we learned that it was officially the end of Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk. There were rumors that Bradley and Irina were different people, and that they just didn’t really like each other much anymore. A source that recently spoke to People says that if you want to blame someone, blame Bradley’s commitment to his directorial debut. The source says Bradley was “emotionally absent” during the filming of A Star Is Born. Production on ASIB started years ago, so depending on when Bradley decided to emotionally check out, this could mean Irina was putting up with a whole lot of “huh?“s and “sure, whatever“s for the better part of their four-year relationship.

The source adds that Bradley and Irina tried to save the relationship, but that “it had changed.” Of course it did. Bradley turned from Oscar-nominated Actor Bradley into Serious Director Bradley (Who Also Plays A Country Gee-tar Now), and I can’t even begin to imagine how insufferable that transition was. The source also says that no one really knew what was going on, because they’re both so private.

But that doesn’t mean Lady Gaga is totally absent from this story. E! News says that some fans are thinking she addressed the situation with Bradley during a recent Enigma show in Las Vegas. During the introduction to “Shallow,” Gaga finished by saying, “Oh, and one more thing. Be kind. Be kind, or fuck off.” According to E! News, some people think that was Gaga’s way of telling people to leave Bradley alone, or leave her name out of it, or both. Or maybe it was nothing. But it did inspire her fans to throw on their tinfoil hats and draw a connection to the two. Personally, I think if she really wanted to throw people off the scent, she should have changed it to: “Oh, and one more thing…be kind, rewind.” Her fans can’t link her to Bradley Cooper if they’re too busy trying to figure out what in the hell she meant.
