Ryan Reynolds Joked About Divorce Rumors Online

The biggest successes of Ryan Reynolds’s career have been jokey anti-hero Deadpool and his bantering with the world on Twitter. Oh, and Nickolodeon’s Fifteen but I might be the only person who remembers that television epic. The IBTimes ran a piece from OK! about how Ryan and his wife Blake Lively are struggling to find quality time together and verging on divorce. Ryan seems unashamed to let people know he checks the Google alerts about himself. He clapped back in his “Ryan Reynolds: Jokey Canadian Movie Star” way.

People points out that Ryan and wifey recently made their first red carpet appearance together since October of last year at the NYC premiere of Stanley Tucci’s Final Portrait.

Ryan’s always poking fun at people on social media, and apparently the wife gets in on it, too.

The two constantly tease one another on social media, cropping the other out of pictures, posting unflattering paparazzi shots or quipping with sarcastic captions. The latest jab came on Valentine’s Day when Reynolds posted a picture of a heart-shaped cake with the caption, “I baked this cake for my wife. The icing is glue, ‘cause I’m not a scientist.”

Lolz. That tweet might not be a joke. Not many would’ve heard about that divorce rumor from OK! if Ryan Reynolds didn’t bring attention to it by tweeting about it. SMOKE! FIRE! Maybe Ryan really wants some time away? That tweet might be another cry for help! Exhibit A.
