Many years ago, before she became the 29-year-old trustee of big sister Britney Spears’ fortune, Jamie Lynn Spears was an up and coming teen actress known for All That and Zoey 101. There were no child star antics, underage clubbing, or crotch shots. There was just squeaky clean Nickelodeon fun. This is why it was such a shock when Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant at the fetal age of sixteen. Seriously, this was huge, huge news, especially since it was late 2007, smack dab in the middle of Britney’s breakdown (post-Gimme More at the VMAs, pre-5150 hold/conservatorship). A rough couple of years for the Spears sisters. Now, in an interview with Nylon, Jamie Lynn is opening up about the teen mom experience, and how shit began to hit the fan when her agent forced her to audition for Twilight. OK, sure!
“Zoey 101” May Be Coming Back, But This Time With An “Edge”
TMZ reports that Jamie Lynn Spears is in talks to make a career comeback, y’all. Jamie Lynn might reprise her role as Zoey Brooks, the sort-of-quirky (not at all) basic bitch who was the star of her own show Zoey 101 about an all boys school which finally allowed girls in. I genuinely enjoyed watching it over ten years ago, for some reason which I can’t remember. But I’ve tried to watch old episodes now and hate it. Well too bad for me, because everything from my youth is destined to circle back to me except for my actual youth–and we can all prepare ourselves for a potential new Zoey 101. This time with an edge.
