A Federal Judge Ordered The Release Of “Making A Murderer’s” Brendan Dassey

November 14, 2016 / Posted by:

The people of Manitowoc County, Wisconsin better start planning a “welcome home” parade full of marching kittens and WWE stars for 27-year-old Brendan Dassey, because it looks like he could be released from the chokey very soon. Back in September, U.S. Magistrate Judge William Duffin overturned Brendan’s murder conviction and declared that investigators pulled some shady shit by interrogating a 16-year-old without an adult present and pretty much coerced a confession out of him by making false promises. Everybody who pulled their pubes in frustration while watching every painful second of Brendan getting majorly fucked in a bad way in Making A Murderer let out a cheer, and they can keep cheering, because his prison cell door will soon swing open and out he’ll go.

“Making A Murderer” Steven Avery Got Engaged To A Woman He’s Only Met Once

September 25, 2016 / Posted by:

Apparently Making A Murderer’s Steven Avery didn’t have enough on his plate. With possibly being framed and then convicted for murder, having his nephew Brendon Dassey possibly framed and then convicted for murder, being the subject of a polarizing Netflix documentary, trying to get his conviction reversed, having his former fiancee jump ship and tell the press that he was allegedly a monster who beat her, and then having his most recent fiancee end their engagement this past January. No, that wasn’t enough. He needed more drama. He has reportedly been dating Lynn Hartman for the past eight months. They met in person for the first time last week, according to the Daily Mail, and they’re now engaged.

Wisconsin’s Attorney General ls Trying To Keep Brendan Dassey In Jail

September 10, 2016 / Posted by:

Apparently no one at the Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office subscribes to Netflix. In “a continuing travesty of justice” news, Wisconsin AG Brad Schimel has filed an appeal to reverse the August 12th ruling that overturned Making A Murderer subject Brendan Dassey’s conviction for murder. Dassey and his uncle, Making A Murderer’s other subject Steven Avery, were sentenced to life in prison in 2007 for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Er, why is this happening exactly?

(via ABC News)

“We believe the magistrate judge’s decision that Brendan Dassey’s confession was coerced by investigators, and that no reasonable court could have concluded otherwise, is wrong on the facts and wrong on the law,” Schimel said in a statement. “Two state courts carefully examined the evidence and properly concluded that Brendan Dassey’s confession to sexually assaulting and murdering Teresa Halbach with his uncle, Steven Avery, was voluntary, and the investigators did not use constitutionally impermissible tactics.”

I guess we didn’t watch the same documentary? Netflix’s docu-series Making A Murderer CLEARLY depicted Dassey, who was 17 at the time of his conviction and reportedly has some intellectual deficiencies, being railroaded into confessing to a murder he didn’t commit by police detectives and the DA’s office. The legal system couldn’t have fucked with this poor dude any more unless they physically drove an actual bus over him in front of the police station. Making A Murderer is basically a horror movie.

Dassey has to remain in jail until the outcome of the appeal. I’m still on the fence as to the uncle’s involvement, but it’s pretty much agreed upon by anyone who isn’t a corrupt political official in Wisconsin that they should let Brendan out to live in peace and watch WWE.

Well Damn: A Judge Has Ordered The Release Of Making A Murderer’s Brendan Dassey

August 12, 2016 / Posted by:

Giant shards of cynicism and bitterness are permanently stuck into my brain, so not much really surprises me anymore, but when I read the headline, “Making a Murderer: Brendan Dassey’s conviction overturned,” I said WHAT so loud that my dog woke up from his 48th nap of the day, rolled his eyes and probably thought, “Loser’s talking to himself again, those emancipation papers can’t come sooner.” The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that today, U.S. Magistrate Judge William Duffin ruled that Brendan Dassey’s constitutional rights were violated when he was questioned for the murder of Teresa Halbach. Judge Duffin overturned Brendan’s murder conviction and ordered his release.

Making A Murderer’s Steven Avery Is A Guilty Monster, So Says His Ex-Fiancee

January 14, 2016 / Posted by:

In the first few episodes of the television crack rock called Netflix’s Making a Murderer, Steven Avery’s fiancee at the time, Jodi Stachowski, stands by his side and defends him after he’s accused of murdering Teresa Halbach. Jodi even spit up evidence for Steven. She gave telephone records that show that she and Steven talked on the phone on the day police said he and his nephew Brendan Dassey killed Teresa. Jodi said in Making a Murderer that Steven sounded normal and not rushed during those calls. Jodi was in the clink (for DWI and disorderly conduct) at the time so the calls were recorded. Jodi, who on probation then, eventually broke up with Steven after she ended up in jail again for drinking booze. Jodi said that she believed the cops were trying to keep her and Steven apart. Well, Jodi is now telling a completely different story. I know, we’re going to need to do Christmas over again, so we can argue and fight with our relatives at the dinner table about this new information.
