“Making A Murderer” Steven Avery Got Engaged To A Woman He’s Only Met Once

Apparently Making A Murderer’s Steven Avery didn’t have enough on his plate. With possibly being framed and then convicted for murder, having his nephew Brendon Dassey possibly framed and then convicted for murder, being the subject of a polarizing Netflix documentary, trying to get his conviction reversed, having his former fiancee jump ship and tell the press that he was allegedly a monster who beat her, and then having his most recent fiancee end their engagement this past January. No, that wasn’t enough. He needed more drama. He has reportedly been dating Lynn Hartman for the past eight months. They met in person for the first time last week, according to the Daily Mail, and they’re now engaged.

Steven, who gets more romance than you would think that a man serving a life sentence for first-degree murder would get, says that he’s overjoyed about his engagement.

She’s going to be my future wife, we’ll be laughing forever,” he said.

“I’m happy, she treats me decent, she loves me, she’s kind of spoiling me right now. I just want to be happy and enjoy my life, I think I did enough time.”

Steven’s fiancee is a legal secretary from Las Vegas who has been dating Steven via phone calls and letters. She announced their engagement on the Steven Avery Project Facebook page.

I am very happy to announce that Steven Avery asked me to marry him today, and I accepted. It has been a difficult road getting to this point in our lives but we are very happy,” she said.

Despite all obstacles, and Steven’s wrongful conviction and incarceration, we plan to be married shortly after he is released.”

The two have reportedly had to keep their relationship quiet because Lynnhas received death threats. Not everyone in the Steven Avery camp is ready to toss rice at Steven and Lynn. His previous fiancee, Sandra Greenman (if you watched the documentary, she was the lady who was baking him the cake?), feels that Lynn is sketchy and in it for the spotlight.

She’s very pretty, there’s no way she’d want Steven Avery usually,’ Greenman said. ‘All the family are afraid of her, something isn’t right, I know she wants fame, and she’s looking for money.”

Sandra told People that her engagement with Steven was called off in January but that she still believed in his innocence. His other former fiancee, Jodi Stachowski, told a Nancy Grace stand-in that Steven was a “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”-type who physically abused her during their relationship.

Seriously, how does a dude with this amount of dramatic mess going on in his life attract this many women? Not to be cynical, but this doesn’t seem like you’ll be leading the kind of life with him that you see advertised in ChristianMingle.com commercials.

The only person I actually care about in this saga is Brendan Dassey, aka “The Unluckiest Pro Wrestling Fan In The World.” Is he out of the joint yet? Has Vince McMahon organized it so the entire WWE stable (including the Divas, cuz’ the poor guy’s been in the clink since he was SEVENTEEN) will visit him upon his release? Get on that, Vince.
