I guess we’ll never get to see an adult Lizzie McGuire solve the murder of her high-school best friend Miranda who disappeared one day in New York and may or may not have been an escort/spy. Sigh! Variety says that Hilary Duff let the world know the Lizzie McGuire reboot planned for Disney+ was not moving forward.

The Hollywood revival machine is cranking out another one, folks. This time it sees Hilary Duff having her career come full-circle as she returns to what is likely her biggest role: Lizzie McGuire. The children’s show which helped introduce a generation to the concept of a ‘friendzone‘ via Gordo’s blue-balls, is coming back, this time with an adult Lizzie and a whole new late-stage capitalism Hell for Lizzie to comment on! Yay!
