Anna Sorokin, The Fake Heiress Grifter, Was Sentenced To At Least 4 Years In Prison
Last month, Anna Sorokin was found guilty of attempted grand larceny in the first degree, grand larceny in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree, theft of services, and other charges after she got caught swindling banks, hotels, businesses, trust fund kids, and other people out of $275,000. Anna pleaded not guilty to the charges, because she claims she didn’t swindle anybody since she was planning on paying everyone back! Well, now she really has to pay up because a judge ordered her to pay restitution and she’s got to sit in the clink for a minimum of four years…. or until Trump pardons her since grifters gotta stick together!
The Fake Heiress Grifter Was Found Guilty Of Thieving
If you haven’t dove straight into the fascinating saga of Anna Sorokin (grifter name: Anna Delvey), then cancel your plans to see Avengers: Endgame tonight (and I know you have tickets since all of you nerds do!), and take your eyeballs over to New York Magazine to read the grifter tale of the Elizabeth Holmes of Manhattan. But basically, Anna scammed the NYC elite, banks and others into thinking she was a rich German heiress with a trust fund who came to the city to open up a SoHo House-style club. But she turned out to be a Russian immigrant who didn’t have a multi-million dollar trust fund. And now Joanne the Scammer’s Russian hero will be known as inmate# (insert whatever her inmate number is here) for a while.
Imelda Marcos Was Convicted Of “Graft” And Sentenced To Prison
I had thought that Imelda Marcos was living out her golden years as nothing more than the star of a punchline about having too many shoes, but she has apparently been doing the most! She’s currently a member of the House Of Representatives in the Philippines, and was planning to run for Governor of a northern province (a seat her daughter currently holds). But she may have to put that on the back burner for now. According to NBC News, a Philippine court has just convicted her of 7 counts of “graft” (that’s a good old-fashioned government swindle) and sentenced her to 6-12 years in prison PER count for funneling $200,000 to Switzerland while she was Governor of Manila in 1970. Imelda’s 89 and unless she gets an age reduction like homeboy (or an appeal), she’s gonna die in prison.
