Open Post: Hosted By The Rock Ripping Off A Gate To Get To Work On Time

When it comes to commitment, there is dedication––and then there’s Duane “The Rock” Johnson who will literally tear the shit out of a wrought-iron gate rather than be late for work. And that’s exactly what happened yesterday when he was faced with a looming deadline that just could not be missed. I, for one, think this was a bad move. I mean, what a dummy. He had the ultimate rich-person excuse for staying home: “Sorry guys, I can’t come into work today. The gate outside of my mansion was acting up and wouldn’t open for me. Now I’m stuck inside. I’ll probably need the weekend off, too.”

A power outage zapped Duane’s fence, causing it to clam up. And after an attempt to overhaul it manually failed, his only option––literally the ONLY option––was to destroy the gate with his bare hands. The Rock, recipient of the undisputed Employee of the Decade award, who was on his way to film Black Adam, justified his decision to destroy that gate in order to get to work on time. I mean, he is playing a superhero and this is a superhero move. The Rock is already promoting that movie and it’s not even done filming!

As he wrote in the captions on his posts, The Rock tried to override the hydraulic system to open the gates, which usually works, but this time it didn’t. And it was going to take a tech 45 minutes to get to his house. The Rock waits for no one so he handled that shit himself. Think about what a lazy piece of shit you are the next time you’re ten minutes late to that Zoom call Monday morning!
