Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Hit-And-Run” Ski Trial Begins Today

Gwyneth Paltrow is facing her actions in court starting today. But no, she’s not on trial for shilling overpriced coochie eggs, expensive dildos, ridiculous diets, and ridiculous health tips. Back in 2016, Gwyneth suffered some real Rich People Problems™ when she had a collision with a man on a ski slope in Park City, Utah. The man, 76-year-old Terry Sanderson, ended up suing 50-year-old Gwyneth for $3.1 million, and she countersued. The trial started today in Park City, and Goopy is expected to take the stand.

While this accident happened back in February 2016, Gwyneth didn’t get sued until 2019. Terry Sanderson claims that he was injured by Gwyneth, who collided with him on the beginner run and left him on the slopes while he lay concussed. The retired optometrist claims that Gwyneth was skiing “out of control,” and apart from his concussion, he also had four broken ribs after what he calls a “hit and run.” Terry says he waited three years to sue because he had problems with past lawyers and also couldn’t function normally due to the concussion. Terry also accuses Deer Valley Resort, where the accident allegedly happened, of covering shit up for Gwyneth. Terry alleges that a Deer Valley ski instructor filed a “false incident report,” which says Gwyneth wasn’t the cause of the crash. I guess we’ll find out because USA Today says the trial starts today:

Gwyneth Paltrow is due to stand trial in Utah after being sued for a ski crash in 2016, referred to as a “hit and run.”

Paltrow’s trial is set for eight days, starting Tuesday. It’s unclear if the actress will testify during the trial.

USA TODAY has reached out to Paltrow’s attorneys for comment.

Gwyneth’s side of the story is that Terry is the one who hit her from behind, and she was so shaken that she had to stop skiing for the day. Poor thing. She claims he apologized to her, and that was that. Her countersuit asks for a symbolic $1 and attorney fees and expenses for the “meritless claim.” Also, she says she’ll give any additional money won to charity.

The Independent UK adds that Gwyneth is expected to take the stand. Which must suck for her because I know she hates acting. JUST KIDDING! I know she’ll be truthful as ALWAYS.
