Chris Rock Says That Arresting Trump Is Like Arresting Tupac, It’ll Only Make Him Bigger

On Saturday, Donald Trump went back on his bullshit (granted, he never really stopped) and took to his social media platform to say in all caps that he “WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK.” Trump was talking about today, and so far, he hasn’t been arrested. Of all the shit he’s done, who would’ve thought the thing that would land him in hot water was having sex with Stormy Daniels. So while people were prepping for their “Donald Trump is getting arrested” pre-game party, Chris Rock brought up Trump’s possible arrest while paying tribute to Adam Sandler during the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center in DC on Sunday night. Chris joked that if Trump really gets arrested, doing so “is only going to make him more popular.” Chris compared Trump’s indictment to when Tupac Shakur released the album Me Against The World, and it sold over 3 million copies while he was serving time.

Chris Rock noted the big news of the weekend: The potential arrest of Donald Trump in New York, as the former president has called on his supporters to protest.

“Are you guys really going to arrest Trump? Do you know that this is only going to make him more popular? It is like arresting Tupac. He’s just going to sell more records. Are you stupid? He slept with a porn star and paid off someone so his wife wouldn’t find out. That’s romantic.”

Also appearing were Dana Carvey, Steve Buscemi, Jennifer Aniston, Conan O’Brien, Drew Barrymore and Judd Apatow were among the celebrities at the event, which will air at 8 PM ET on CNN on March 26.

Martha Stewart can vouch for that. If Chris is actually right, then Kanye West’s name needs to be kept off Trump’s visiting list in the clink because the last thing we need is a rap album by Yung Donnie for MAGAs to blast from their trucks at the next resurrection he incites. Along with his announcement of his supposed arrest, he also commanded his MAGA disciples to “protest, take our nation back!”

And Chris may get shit for comparing Trump to Tupac, but hey, at least he didn’t bring up The Slap!
