Night Crumbs
A couple of years ago, Janeane Garofolo talked about nearly landing the female lead in Fight Club, but Edward Norton refused to sign off on her casting because he wanted his then-fiancee, Courtney Love, to get the role. But Brad Pitt refused to sign off on Courtney’s casting, so the role eventually went to Helena Bonham Carter. Well, during a damn doozy of an appearance on WTF with Marc Maron this week, Courtney told her side of that shit. According to Courtney, David Fincher cast her as the female lead, and it was a done deal until Brad got her ass fired because he really, really wanted to star in a Kurt Cobain biopic, and she was not having it. Courtney claimed that as recently as 2020, Brad’s production company tried to make a Kurt Cobain biopic happen, and she shut it down again. It seems like everything happened the way it should’ve happened. HBC got the role, and Courtney kept Brad from playing Kurt Cobain. And the biopic I really want to see is the one where Courtney Love repeatedly shits on Brad Pitt’s Kurt Cobain dreams. It would be the feel-good movie of the year! – Pajiba
Okay, but Courtney Love then completely lost me by declaring that Lana Del Rey is one of “the only true musical geniuses she’s ever known.” – NME
After about two weeks in theaters, Avatar: The Way of Water has made $1 billion at the worldwide box office. That’s a lot of money, but James Cameron himself said that it needs to make double that to even break even. So I guess this means it’s a matter of time before he releases the Na’vi butthole version! – Just Jared
Drew Barrymore talked about falling off the wagon after her divorce in 2016 – Jezebel
2023 hasn’t even started yet, and it looks like it might be an even bigger diarrhea explosion than 2022. Because Bill Cosby says he’s going on a comedy tour next year. That sound you hear (besides the sound of humanity wet heaving) is the sound of Chris D’Elia’s agent furiously calling up Cosby to pitch his client as the perfect opening act – SOW
FINALLY, what we’ve all been waiting for. Zoe Kravitz has given her thoughts on cats (the animal, not the movie) – Celebitchy
