Open Post: Hosted By Larry The Downing Street Cat Chasing Away A Fox

October 16, 2022 / Posted by:

Everything may be going err… less than optimally in the UK, but there’s one inhabitant of Downing Street who has everything under control: Larry the Cat! The famous feline of Number 10 was seen guarding his grounds by chasing off a fox twice his size. Of course, Larry has his shit on lockdown. Someone needs to put him on the ballot for Prime Minster in the next general election. PM Larry would solve the world’s problems!

Larry has been near office since 2011 and was even given the title of Chief Mouser for his services to the public. He’s one of the few political officials that we can say is unequivocally delivering and adding value in his role. Case in point: Larry fended off a wily fox from sneaking into Downing Street. via CBS News:

Britain’s most popular cat, Larry, was seen going above and beyond his mouse-catching duties outside the prime minister’s office this week. The Cabinet Office’s longtime chief mouser took on a fox outside 10 Downing Street — and won.

Video of the feline-canine fisticuffs went viral, showing Larry creeping up to the small fox with laser focus. When the fox attempted to hide in a flower bed, Larry pounced and chased it off.

The sassy cat’s social media account shared footage of Larry’s heroic actions with the phrase “fox off.”

However, Larry isn’t without a conscience. He made sure to communicate that urban foxes are animals just trying to get by and don’t deserve mistreatment.

A cute fuzzy face AND a heart of gold. Forget the ministerial position. Overthrow the monarchy and give Larry the crown!
