Cardi B Defends Offset During His Twitter War With Former Management
Cardi B and her jackpot-hitting trophy husband Offset have taken to Twitter once again to engage in one of their favorite recreational activities: TWITTER WARS!! Of course, this is a sport Cardi holds all of the world records in like How To Complain The Most, AND How To Properly Drag Your Fans. And in this latest attempt at bringing home the gold, Cardi and her husband are joining forces to take down his former record label, Quality Control Music, as well as his former manager Pierre “Pee” Thomas (yes, “Pee“) as they try to slam Offset after he left their label to begin his inevitable solo career.
According to TMZ, Offset’s former manager Pee has a lot to say after Offset’s departure. Probably because Offset was bringing in a lot of cash and with the holidays coming up Pee doesn’t have the words ‘Being Broke’ written on his Christmas wish list. However, Offset claims he did everything the proper way before moving on, although his former label and manager have been giving him a hard time about it.
Offset filed docs, which TMZ Hip Hop obtained, and in them he accuses Quality Control Records of ignoring a deal they made back in January 2021.
According to the suit, filed Tuesday, Offset says he negotiated his solo deal, and “paid handsomely” for his artist rights … but now that he’s dropped a new solo project, he says QC isn’t honoring the deal.
He just released the Baby Keem-produced solo single, “54321” … which he says QC incorrectly tried to claim as its own, an action he calls “hostile.”
Once Pee heard about Offset’s lawsuit he was not pleased. He even referred to Offset’s comments about the lawsuit as “lame“. Of course, Offset didn’t let such harsh words slide. Hot New Hip Hop reports Offset immediately responded to Pee by letting everyone know they haven’t spoken to each other in two years.
Finally, since Cardi is the world record holder in the sport of Putting Bitches In Their Place she immediately backed up Offset’s claims in a move that put the beef on simmer until it’s time to heat it up once again.
His wife…also appeared to address the ongoing controversy. She hasn’t said a peep about Offset handling his business until today’s controversy.
“Offset bought himself out his Qc deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract,” she penned. “I’m tired of people trying to make offset look like the bad guy …..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”
This war may be over but there will be another one soon since Cardi monitors Twitter like she’s a human doorbell camera. But one thing’s clear, Cardi and Offset are definitely the Bonnie and Clyde of the new millennium. And that’s not necessarily a good thing since we all know how that turned out.
