Kanye West Will Not Be Charged For Allegedly Punching A Fan In January

Earlier this year, there was a very grainy video showing Kanye West doing what he does best; yelling at people. But Kanye allegedly got a little handsy with a fan who had been seeking his autograph for a few days. And instead of ignoring the fan, there was a bit of an altercation that lead to the police having to become involved in the matter.  Now months later Kanye can breathe a bit easier since there will be no further investigation into the incident.

The New York Post reports Kanye is off the hook with authorities after allegedly assaulting a fan back in January. Of course, no one really remembers this happening because Kanye has kept the fuckery pretty relevant all year long with some of his greatest hits including beefs with Chaka Khan and former friend John Legend, as well as his normal day-to-day kooky Kanye antics. But at least this is one less thing he has to worry about, right?  Los Angeles City Attorney spokesperson Rob Wilcox stated, “After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file based on no reasonable likelihood of conviction.”

Details of that night have surfaced, and basically, the man who wouldn’t leave Kanye alone was a professional autograph hound and was almost more annoying than Kanye himself:

Early reports indicated the man was a fan and had apparently asked West for his autograph earlier in the week.

Reps for West say the man was a professional autograph broker who had been chasing the rapper for more than a day and was invading his personal space.

West grew incensed when the man asked again that night, Page Six reported at the time, which led to the confrontation.

“My client is pleased with the decision by the City Attorney’s office, which recognizes that he has done nothing wrong,” West’s lawyer Michael Goldstein told The Post in a statement.

I don’t even know why anyone is asking for Kanye’s autograph in the first place. If you really want Kanye’s autograph, just draw a 2 turning its back on an A with an elephant trunk.
