Open Post: Hosted By Minnie Mouse’s New Stella McCartney Pantsuit For Disneyland Paris’ 30th Anniversary

Fresh off the M&Ms getting a makeover, Disney has given Minnie Mouse a little makeover. The cartoon mouse–who is not real and not human–is going to be wearing a pantsuit during Disneyland Paris’ 30th-anniversary celebration. And since there’s a pandemic and mass wealth inequality to worry about, people used their time to be mad about Minnie’s new outfit. To them, I say: don’t worry, there are always pictures of Minnie in a dress you can look at to calm your nerves.

The Wrap says that this re-design is actually a Stella McCartney original, as the British designer created the royal blue pantsuit featuring Minnie’s classic polka-dot pattern for the campaign. Of course, this is very different from the short dress and bloomers that she has usually worn since debuting back in 1928:

And here’s Minnie working a Stella McCartney original:

Minnie has been trending on Twitter even though she has worn pants various times in the past so this is nothing new, alas the conservative types are mad about it anyway. I don’t know how Minnie temporarily wearing pants can piss them off when Donald Duck has been pantless years and they never say anything!

I’m fine with Minnie Mouse wearing Stella McCartney, I just hope they never partner with Kanye West. Somehow, I don’t think Minnie will be able to pull off a full leather look with eye makeup so heavy the kids at Euphoria High are like, “Maybe pull back.”
