Irina Shayk And Jason Sudeikis Were Seen Hugging In New York, So You Know What That Means

It means the internet is about to start speculating on whether Kanye West’s on/off maybe girlfriend Irina Shayk is setting things back in the off position, and possibly moving on to TV’s Ted Lasso.  In the world of famous people, a hug isn’t just a hug, which is why Irina Shayk and Jason Sudeikis currently have people wondering if there’s anything going on.

The last time we checked in on the personal lives of Irina and Jason, respectively, Irina was rumored to be in some kind of unconfirmed casual friendship-slash-relationship with Kanye West. It’s very mysterious, like Area 51. No one knows what’s going on there, except for the people with the highest level of security clearance (Irina, Kanye, their publicity teams). Jason split from his longtime partner Olivia Wilde in November of last year, and just last month, he was seen in public with his Ted Lasso co-star and possible girlfriend, British actress Keeley Hazell. And then he hugged Irina on Tuesday night:

Both Jason and Irina are residents of New York City, so maybe this was just two famous people bumping into each other. But according to Page Six, that’s not the case. Both Jason and Irina were dining together at a party thrown by British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, and they were joined by several of Jason’s Ted Lasso co-stars, like Hannah Waddingham (who plays Rebecca Welton) and Brett Goldstein (who plays Roy Kent). So it was a little Ted Lasso party, which is double awkward for Keeley. via Page Six:

Hazell, 34, was not present at Tuesday night’s dinner, where guests feasted on, among other things, seafood towers and celebratory dessert platters.

They were also celebrating Waddingham and Goldstein’s birthdays, which both fall in July.

It’s unclear whether Shayk, 35, was there for a mix of business or simply pleasure. Another source did tell us, though, that the model arrived around 9:30 p.m. with her manager.

It seems the group was having a good time, since the dinner lasted several hours and they did not end up leaving until around 12:30 a.m.

A source adds that Irina hugged lots of people as she said her goodbyes at the end of the evening, but another source says that Jason is single right now:

The former Saturday Night Live star was never really serious with the British model, who has also appeared on Ted Lasso, a source said. “He is not in any relationship,” a source said. “He’s not seeing anyone. He’s definitely not with Keeley. He’s just with his kids and focusing on Ted Lasso.”

Reps for Irina and Jason had nothing to say about this.

So Jason is single, Irina might be single, and no one is getting serious with anyone on any side of the pond. And if anyone is interested in dating Jason Sudeikis right now, you better be ok with being the third wheel in a throuple situation. Jason’s very focused on Ted Lasso, and he’s not dumping Ted Lasso, no matter how cute you are.
