Jason Sudeikis Sort Of Talked About The End Of His Relationship With Olivia Wilde

According to Page Six, Jason Sudeikis BREAKS HIS SILENCE which kind of makes it sound like he farted loudly in church, but sadly that is not the case. Putting the G in Gentleman’s Quarterly, Jason talked a little bit about the end of his romantic relationship with Olivia Wilde, with whom he shares two kids, and never once did he make fun of Olivia’s new man, Harry Styles, even though he was probably dying to. I mean, just look at him! If my partner of the better part of a decade left me for a fellow who probably has an entire armoire devoted to feather boas and wears pants so wide he could fit 5 or 6 gnomes in there with him, I’d have some jokes.

Jason didn’t get into the nitty gritty of what happened or address the bedazzled elephant in the room, but he did say that he and Olivia officially called it quits in November of 2020. Olivia and Harry were first seen holding hands in January of 2021. Page Six reports:

Jason Sudeikis broke his silence on his split from ex-fiancée Olivia Wilde, saying he hopes the end of their relationship will make more sense in the future.

“I’ll have a better understanding of why in a year,” he said in GQ’s August issue, “and an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it’ll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle.”

Sudeikis told GQ that the entire experience is something you “either learn from or make excuses about.”

“You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it,” he said.

Or, as many speculated, you can sublimate the pain by smoking a whole bunch of weed/salvia/banana peels/shredded Tiger Beat magazines with Harry’s picture on the cover, before appearing at a black-tie event on live TV wearing a tie-dye stoner sweatshirt. But that is NOT what Jason did. He was sober!

A month after Wilde and Styles, 27, began to make headlines, Sudeikis made news himself by appearing at the Golden Globes’ virtual ceremony wearing a tie-dye hoodie.

He won best actor in a comedy for “Ted Lasso” but sparked questions over whether he was high due to his stuttering and rambling acceptance speech.

At the time, there were rumors he was still heartbroken over the split and not ready to date anyone new himself.

“I was neither high nor heartbroken,” Sudeikis clarified to GQ. “So yeah, it came off like, ‘This is how I feel. I believe in moving forward.’”

He added, “I wore that hoodie because I didn’t wanna fuking wear the fucking top half of a Tom Ford suit. I love Tom Ford suits, but it felt weird as shit.”

Amen to that! Remember that shit? It was so weird! That said, at first I thought he said he didn’t want to wear a fucking top hat and from there on out I had deep regrets that Jason didn’t make things even weirder by accepting his award wearing a top hat and a monocle and nothing else. Oh well, we’ll just have to make do with these silly shots from his GQ spread.
