Open Post: Hosted By Wendy Williams Dissing Ellen Degeneres

Wendy Williams is recently single again, so you know that means she’s going to be turning her shade up about a million degrees on her show to cope, and lucky for us, she sure did. Ellen Degeneres announced the end of a relationship herself, as her show will be ending after 19 years on the air in 2022. Wendy decided to throw some hate on Ellen by suggesting that all of her bad press just “exposed” her as the person she truly was. Wow, someone hates Ellen more than Anne Heche!

ET Canada says that during Wendy’s “Hot Topics” segment she touched on the big news in talk-show land: Ellen ending after almost two decades on the air. True to form, Wendy loves to preclude her kill-shots with some sweet sass and legitimate compliments, so she gave Ellen props saying:

“Nineteen years is a very good run, congratulations to you, Ellen.”

She then immediately laid into Ellen bringing up the accusations of Ellen’s toxic workplace which led to the firing of three top producers. Wendy went in:

“All you’ve been through all those 19 years, including the workplace conditions, which… by the way, I believe she’s leaving because the workplace conditions. You know. I mean, we all know people who’ve worked there… and people who’ve worked here themselves… Here’s the thing, I’m glad that you thanked your Ellen fans, or whatever you call your nation. But 19 years on TV doesn’t… change your life. It exposes you for the person you really are… I’m not sure all the guests are happy. I was a guest. I wasn’t happy… people called me out on it before I was able to say anything about it… I don’t know whether she told her current staff, though. She seems like the type of person who could come out on stage and announce it to everybody.”

But then Wendy circled back to polite:

“Anyway, her talk show ends in May 2022. So, you know… you’ll have to continue watching. And good luck, I know you like to buy houses and do projects, you’ve got pet food whatever you want to do. You’ve been on for 19 years, we should be so lucky.”

Welp, I guess Ellen better return to that big corkboard in her attic where she’s pinned red strings to people’s pictures in an effort to trace back this elaborate and “orchestrated” attack against her character. Add Wendy to the conspiracy! She’s clearly in on it!
