Usher Did Not Tip Strippers With Fake Money After All

Obviously, when someone like Usher is accused of something so heinous as disrespecting a Las Vegas stripper he needs to respond. Not only is he doing a residency in the City of Sin and absolutely should not piss off the stripper community, but as a celebrity, being on the outs with strippers is like a Real Housewife being on the outs with plastic surgeons in her area. Social. Suicide. TMZ says Usher has defended his good name and said he absolutely did not pay strippers in fake “Ush-bucks.” He paid them real money as well as “Ush-bucks.” Glad that’s cleared up.
The Internet lit up roasting Usher for allegedly going out to the Sapphire strip club in Las Vegas and turning shit loose with some Monopoly money. Worse actually, because Monopoly money can at least buy you a nice place on Mediterranean Avenue–“Ush-bucks” can’t buy you shit. A dancer with the Instagram handle, @beel0ove posted about the fake money, and the Internet soon roasted Usher for his cheapskate way of life. In case you haven’t seen it yet, this is what “Ush-bucks” look like:

But don’t drag him so fast! TMZ says there’s more to it:
A rep for the club tells TMZ Usher did NOT tip the strippers with this fake money, and actually dished out authentic greenbacks, while also going on to tip the staff at large quite generously.
We’re told Usher and co. ended up spending thousands on the dancers (REAL thousands, mind you) and also enjoyed bottle service … which he definitely didn’t cover with these Usher bucks. It goes without saying … Sapphire tells us they’d love to host him again, anytime.
So it was a lovely time. Usher smacked some ass and watched them tig old bitties bounce and everybody loved it. But what about the fake money? Oh, they have an explanation for that too:
Now for some more intel on what the hell actually happened here — sources close to Usher tell us that somebody in his crew (not him) left some stray Usher dollars behind on the stage as a bit of a gag … both to be joke-y, but to also promote his new Vegas residency.
We’ve been assured by folks in the singer’s camp that he did, in fact, tip the girls who danced for him … and that the Usher bucks in question weren’t used for payment AT ALL.
So the grand scheme here was to pay the strippers with real money and then leave behind fake bills, which the strippers would then think were real, but wouldn’t mind wasn’t real because it was mixed in with real money? …No, sir. That is still highly upsetting. If you’re eating pizza and one slice is randomly paper you’re gonna be like: “The fuck?!” What a clever marketing strategy to bring people to your Las Vegas show: disappointment. Bossip says that Usher plans to “make things right,” but there was no specification on what that would be.
Welp, when someone alleged that Usher gave them herpes without warning Usher came to an “amicable resolution” with them, so I’m sure he’ll find a way to resolve his stripper woes, too. AKA exchange those “Ush-bucks” for American dollars.
