The Woman Who Claimed To Be Married To Pete Davidson Was Arrested In His Home

Pete Davidson might have just found himself in the Michael Douglas part of a Fatal Attraction situation. Pete recently had to deny that he was married to a woman known as Michelle Mootreddy and started a production company with her. You don’t need a much clearer sign that someone is not into you, and yet, this Michelle decided to show up at Pete’s house uninvited, where the police were quickly called.

Earlier this week, Pete’s rep was forced to shut down a press release that had been sent out, announcing that Pete and childhood friend Michelle got married and launched a production company, Bodega Cats Presents. According to Team Pete, they had no idea who Michelle was, which kind of destroyed the fantasy that she and Pete were childhood sweethearts. Pete’s people also said that they’d be investigating the situation, and were considering “legal remedies.” Things went from “considering” to getting the law involved. Michelle showed up at Pete’s place yesterday in Staten Island, NY, and made herself at home. via TMZ:

Our sources say Mootreddy walked into Pete’s place through an open side door Thursday and sat down at the kitchen table. We’re told one of Pete’s relatives was home, and someone called 911. We’re told Pete wasn’t home at the time.

Pete shares a home with his mom in Staten Island. When Pete’s mom asks, “When are you gonna bring a nice girl home?” THIS is not what she had in mind.

Michelle is the person who sent out the press release earlier this week, so it’s probably not too much of a reach to assume this is an unwanted stalker situation. Pete’s people maintain that they have no idea who Michelle is and that Pete has never met her.

Michelle was taken into police custody, where she was questioned by authorities. As of last night, Michelle was formally arrested and booked on misdemeanor criminal trespass, violation trespass, 2 counts of misdemeanor stalking, and a harassment violation. And, hopefully, there will be a protective order in place for Pete, to ensure that there are no surprise visits in the future.

This scenario is scary and everyone is very lucky that it played out as calmly and smoothly as it did. Pete’s lucky he wasn’t there, and he’s really lucky that whatever family member was there had the good sense to immediately call 911 instead of trying to quiz Michelle on how she knows Pete. What secret question could you possibly ask? “What’s the last tattoo Pete got?” She could answer: “Uh…one that he might eventually regret?” and technically she’d be correct.
