Ryan Dorsey Clears Up The Rumors About Him And Naya Rivera’s Sister Nickayla

September 30, 2020 / Posted by:

Naya Rivera’s sister Nickayla Rivera already popped up to let nosy un-knowing hos know that they have no idea what her family is going through and to try to show some compassion (“Cumpassion? I do not know that word. Is that another Goop candle scent?” asked the internet). Nickayla was responding to The Daily Mail saying that she moved in with Ryan Dorsey, Naya’s ex-husband and the father of Naya’s 5-year-old son Josey. The Mail also posted pictures of Nickayla and Ryan walking around, and some thought that some Hunter Biden meets Life As We Know It scandalousness was going on. Ryan has now responded, saying that Josey asked if his aunt could move in with them and he denied the “misinformed tabloid” rumor that there’s something romantic going on between him and Nickayla.

Naya and Ryan were married for four years and their divorce was finalized in 2018. As we all sadly know, Naya died in July during a boat trip with Josey. And The Mail reported earlier this week that Ryan moved out of his house and into a new one with Nickayla, who is helping to take care of her nephew. They also posted pictures of the two at Target and claimed they were holding hands, but even though I have the eyesight of a mole with glaucoma, it’s clear to me that they aren’t holding hands. It’s just the angle.

Grief takes hold of us in different ways, but people threw judgment at the situation. So Ryan felt the need to get into the details of what’s going on in an Instagram video where he started with the horrifying nightmare his son witnessed and how when he told Josey that Naya is in heaven now, Josey heartbreakingly asked if he can go there, via ET:

He talked about how at the age of 5, his son has had to “grow up so fast” and “without his mother.” Ryan explained that Josey asked where his mother is, with him telling his boy that “she’s an angel now and she’s with God. She’s in heaven.”

“And he goes, ‘Well, I want to go there. How do I get there?'” Ryan shared, adding that he hopes a parent would never have to hear their child say that or explain what a funeral for their parent is “way before they should have to think about it.”

Ryan then got into how he’s in a bad, bad way, and that he’s lost 20 pounds and can’t sleep from thinking about how his son is going to grow up without a mother. Ryan added that he’s been getting help from both sides of the family including Nickayla who agreed to press pause on her life to move in and help him with Josey. Josey apparently asked his father if his tití could live with them and Ryan agreed because she’s the closet thing he has to his mom, via People:

Reflecting on the aftermath of Rivera’s death, Dorsey called himself ″lucky″ to ″have family on both sides who support and who have helped out tremendously″ during this difficult time.

″And to have a young woman who is his blood and tití, who is willing to put her life on hold and sacrifice things, uproot her situation for the betterment of your child so when you put your child to bed, you don’t always have to be alone with your thoughts,″ he continued.

″You don’t have to be sad every day and night, wondering when does it get better,″ Dorsey said. ″At least you have someone there with you to talk to, or just sit in silence and be sad with. You don’t have to deal with it completely alone.″

Ryan gave a shout out to the “two girls” who took those pictures in Target and made a few coins by selling them to the tabloids. And he added that the pictures created a “false narrative, based on an angle of a photo” and “false realities talking about a relationship.” Ryan said, “Shit, I wish I was worried about a relationship now and not dealing with this.”

Ryan mentioned that he doesn’t really read the comments and he shouldn’t read the ones in that post, because there are a few failed detectives who obviously got kicked out Detective La Toya’s School Of Detective-ing. And Ryan said that they’ve gotten death threats. Yeah, death threats to the family of a little boy who just lost his mother. You know, there really should be a mandatory social media app in which a note reading, “Are you sure you want to do that?”, pops up when you’re sending a death threat to the family of a little boy who just lost his mother. And if you click yes, it should just redirect you to the seating chart of a plane where you can pick your seat on your upcoming flight to HELL.
