The mannequins and dolls who are showing up the actors on the set of The Bold & The Beautiful!

The Bold & The Beautiful is back to serving Juilliard-level acting skills after pressing pause on production because of coronavirus. We already heard that they were going to take all sorts of precautions to keep everyone from getting lung-fucked by COVID-19, including social distancing between the actors and using mannequins, sex dolls, and the actors’ spouses to fill in. Well, B&B has achieved the impossible by serving acting skills that are above Juilliard-level and it’s all thanks to the mannequins and rubber dolls who ooze raw emotion without even trying.

B&B let Access Hollywood show the tricks they’re using to pull off scenes during the pandemic. And two thespians of B&B, Denise Richards and her onscreen piece Thorsten Kaye (which has to be one of the most soap opera star-sounding names in the history of soap operas) talked about how they filmed their scenes. Denise and Thorsten each said their lines to a mannequin and were later merged together using technically-advanced TV MAGIC! And for a kissing scene between Denise and Thorsten’s characters, her real-life husband Aaron “Bootleg L. Ron Hubbard” Phypers was brought in to touch mouths with her. And for a hospital scene between Thorsten’s character and his daughter, he had to act with a “life-sized doll.” Here’s a hot naked man mannequin, a dress form, and a girl doll who is nailing the hell out of the role of a sick girl laid up in a hospital bed.

I hear you haters saying, “Um, wasn’t that show already filled with enough plastic people giving stiff performances?” But seriously, yes, those mannequins and dolls are finally bringing charisma and Meryl Streep-worthy acting to The Bold & The Beautiful, but I have to slow clap for Denise as well. She managed not to laugh while acting opposite a dress form. But then again, she’s on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, so she’s used to having a conversation with a piece of soulless plastic.
