Katy Perry Had To Delay Her New Album “Smile” By Two Weeks

Billboard says that Katy Perry, who is currently pregnant with her first child with Orlando Bloom, has had to delay the release of her new album, It–I mean Smile. Her sixth album was supposed to come out on August 14 but has been pushed back two weeks over some sort of “production delays.” Cut to the Swifties rebooting the Katy Perry/Taylor Swift feud by saying that folklore’s sales have made Katy shake off her clown wig with fear and so she can’t release an album called Smile when all she’s doing is frowning.
Katy announced on Instagram that we’ll have to wait fourteen whole days for her album. It’s been months of quarantine: I feel like I can wait for anything at this point. This whole album is very clown-themed and so she revealed her delay with a pie to her face. Which is better than the other common clown activity of stalking a town to instill fear into residents. She blamed “unavoidable production delays“ on her pushback but promised to start doing #SmileSundays–Instagram Live sessions where she talks about the album. Also if she gives birth to her baby #SmileSundays will have to end since you know… she’ll have a baby to deal with.
She may talk more about her album delay tonight, she’s supposed to do a SiriusXM Q&A later.
I think the Katy Cats will survive the two-week delay of her album. Meanwhile, Katy can just do more clown-related shit to promote her album, shoot water from a flower, make balloon animals, kill and feast on little children. You know, just regular clown things!
