Open Post: Hosted By Kate Beckinsale’s Cat Wedding

Kitty cats! They’re great. Adorable. 10 outta 10. Cats in costumes? Even better! Kate Beckinsale agrees. She’s spent her pandemic posting cute videos of her two Persian cats, Clive and former HSOTD Willow. She’s dressed them up (well, Clive, mostly) as superheroes, musicians, for birthdays, nightclubs, and even constructed tiny bedrooms for them to sleep in.

Now Kate has taken the next logical step, and thrown a cat wedding celebrating the union of her two fur babies! The couple wore latex, and, judging by the looks on their faces, this was an arranged marriage.

Here’s the video, which may be used as evidence after these cats get revenge:

If you’re looking for snark about the wedding, or how dressing animals in costumes is bad, you’re in the wrong place. Because right now my biggest priority is setting up my son-cat Bob with Georgia, the long-haired tabby owned by my downstairs neighbors. Georgia rules the entire apartment building and Bob loves her, but she couldn’t give two shits. She’s also like ten years older his senior, so perhaps it’s not meant to be.

That being said, if I’ve learned anything from Kate Beckinsale’s love life, age ain’t nothin’ but a number, and older women need to get theirs too! And congratulations to Clive and Willow. Hopefully they got a purr-nup so that their divorce isn’t too messy. Hey, they’re still a Hollywood couple.
