Lori Loughlin And Mossimo Are Still Trying To Get Their Case Dismissed

Due to them being pariahs and not wanting to be pelted with pasture raised heritage breed eggs from Bristol Farms, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have been sheltering in place for an entire year since they got busted for their participation in Operation Varsity Blues (yes, IT HAS ONLY BEEN A YEAR). So I’m sure the current coronavirus pandemic has hardly put a dent in their schedule. They are still consumed with trying to avoid being convicted on federal bribery and money laundering charges stemming from the $500,000 they paid to get their daughters Isabella Giannulli and Olivia Jade into USC. According to TMZ, Lori and Mossimo (and a bunch of their fellow defendants who opted out of taking a plea deal) are making a Hail Mary plea to the judge and asking to have their cases dismissed by accusing the U.S. Attorney’s Office of misconduct and general fuckery (sadly not a legal term).

We’ve already heard Lori and Mossimo make the argument that the U.S. Attorney’s Office withheld evidence, and that the FBI was out to get them by instructing OVB mastermind Rick Singer to lie to them in recorded conversations. Now Lori and Mossimo’s attorneys are using both of those arguments to get the case thrown out. (via TMZ)

Lori Loughlin and other defendants in the college admissions case want a judge to throw out the cases and send prosecutors packing … because Lori and the others say the U.S. Attorney’s Office is guilty … guilty of gross and shocking misconduct.

Lori, and others who have not copped a plea, laid out why it would be unfair to continue on the with the case. For starters, defense lawyers say authorities browbeat the ringleader in the case — Rick Singer.

And, Singer says, FBI agents told him to lie on recorded calls to obtain incriminating evidence against the parents.

There’s a lot more. Prosecutors withheld this evidence for more than a year, this according to the legal docs, even though they were ordered to produce it.

Short story … the defense says the government has lied, fabricated incriminating evidence and intentionally withheld evidence it was supposed to turn over that tended to show these were not bribes.

The defense wants the charges dismissed … or at the very least they want all the FBI recordings ruled inadmissible because they were allegedly obtained dishonestly.

If Lori and Mossimo’s case gets thrown out after all this build up and anticipation, it will be the worst thing to happen since the coronavirus. Seriously, watching Lori and Mossimo have the book thrown at them is literally the only thing we have to look forward to. Please judge, we have so little!
