A Source Told Us Weekly That Michelle Williams And Thomas Kail’s Coupling Was “Messy”

Ever since Michelle Williams announced her pregnancy and also new engagement to Fosse/Verdon director Thomas Kail, people have been raising eyebrows and looking at each other funny. You see Thomas was married to someone else very recently and even Michelle herself had just got out of a marriage. Page Six especially has been salivating in the hopes that someone would spill the tea on what exactly is going on there. It seems some people’s love of the petty dramas of Dawson’s Creek never die.

Well here you go, sources are telling Us Weekly that the coupling was “messy behind the scenes”. But don’t get too excited, Page Six! They’re saying that Michelle and Thomas broke up with their spouses before getting together.

Michelle and Thomas made their red carpet debut at the Golden Globes this past weekend as people gossiped about whether they both should’ve wore a scarlet A on their outfits. Whether or not Michelle cheated on her husband with Thomas, she should’ve, because it would’ve looked better than that wilted cabbage she had on her shoulder. But that source says that Michelle and Thomas’ love started out messy.

The source says that yes, Michelle and Thomas met on Fosse/Verdon. They “were attached to other people” at the time–Michelle was married to Phil Elverum, and Thomas had been married to Angela Cristian since 2006. The source says that after their break-ups, the two:

“Fell hard and fast for each other.”

So what do you think? Is this more well-placed publicity, like that People article? You think they purposely had a source come in and admit the relationship’s messiness but then downplay the timing? It’s a smart move, I’ll admit. Either way I know Page Six will want to know more–after each episode of Dawson’s Creek you gotta watch another. Can’t wait to see who sleeps with a teacher.
