Feminist Hero Harvey Weinstein Wants To Remembered As A Man Who Helped Women In The Industry

Harvey Weinstein has clearly done a lot of self-reflection and soul searching because he wants the world to know that he should be remembered as a feminist icon who deserves a pat on the back for how much he has done for women in the industry. Obviously, his words, not mine. Or anyone else’s on the planet. I can’t even begin to process the level delusion and narcissism it takes to say those words. It’s like Jeffery Dahmer saying, “I would really like to be remembered as an amazing chef.

Harvey agreed to talk to the New York Post after allegations that he was faking or exaggerating his back injuries stemming from an August car accident. via Page Six:

Weinstein talked to The Post while recuperating at the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Friday, a day after three-hour spinal surgery to remove a trio of bone plates compressing his vertebrae. He said he sustained the back injury in an Aug. 17 car accident.

Harvey didn’t want to talk about the allegations made against him, his impending criminal case or his tentative $25 million settlement with some of his accusers, but mostly wanted to complain that his legacy was being destroyed and he wants everyone to remember he didn’t just allegedly sexually assault women, he also produced Jersey Girl which starred A WOMAN.

“I feel like the forgotten man,’’ the 67-year-old alleged rapist griped last week.

“I made more movies directed by women and about women than any filmmaker, and I’m talking about 30 years ago. I’m not talking about now when it’s vogue. I did it first! I pioneered it!” he bragged.

“It all got eviscerated because of what happened,’’ Weinstein said bitterly. “My work has been forgotten.’’

Harvey complaining that he’s a “forgotten man” is so stupid. Our criminal justice hasn’t forgotten him, Emily Ratajkowski wrote a short piece about him, and there may even be a horror movie being made about him. And one of his dozens upon dozens of accusers, Rose McGowan, let him know she hasn’t forgotten about him.

Harvey also went on to bizarrely brag about how much money he made for Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth Paltrow, you know, one of his many, many accusers of sexual harassment.

“Gwyneth Paltrow in 2003 got $10 million to make a movie called ‘View from the Top,’ ” Weinstein said, referring to the romantic comedy and his decision to pay the star the hefty sum while he was at the helm of Miramax.

“She was the highest-paid female actor in an independent film. Higher paid than all the men,” he crowed.

Gwyneth’s rep didn’t have a comment when The Post asked for one, but Douglas H. Wigdor, a lawyer who represents several of Harvey’s accusers including one who will testifying in his upcoming criminal case, said this:

“One cannot feel sorry for Mr. Weinstein while he sits perched in an executive private hospital suite and asks New Yorkers to recognize his prior accomplishments which justifiably have been overshadowed by his horrific actions, his complete failure to accept responsibility, and his recent efforts to force survivors to accept an inadequate and paltry civil settlement.

Mr. Weinstein’s latest public relations stunt on the eve of his criminal trial provides even more motivation to continue to prosecute the claims that will expose him for who he is,’ he said. “I personally look forward to cross-examining him once his Fifth Amendment rights are extinguished in the criminal trial.”

Harvey needs to stop attending class at the School of Delusional Assholes and come back to reality. Because if thinks he’s going to be remembered for anything but being a scary monster who (allegedly) attacked several women and jacked off into a potted plant, he’s got another thing coming.
