Harvey Weinstein Crashed His Jeep Into A Tree

Harvey Weinstein crashed his Jeep into a tree, and I know we’re all thinking, “Jeez, I hope that tree is okay.” Turns out Harvey escaped unharmed but the poor tree may need some therapy after having been touched by an alleged serial groper/rapist. And lord knows if there’s ever a movie about this crash, Scarlett Johansson is a shoo-in for the role of that tree. In fairness, she has proved she’s fine working with creeps.

According to Page Six:

The disgraced Hollywood mogul escaped injury when he crashed his 2017 Jeep in Westchester County, law enforcement sources told The Post on Monday.

Weinstein, 67, was driving through Bedford when he smashed into a tree along Bedford Center Road near Succabone Road around 8:55 a.m. on Aug. 17, sources said.

Weinstein told cops he swerved to avoid a deer, sources said.

The vehicle wound up on its side and Weinstein had to kick his way out, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Harvey needs to be more careful, since there’s a chance that in the very near future he won’t have any money to spend on a new car as he reportedly has to pay a $44 million settlement to his victims.

Harvey was heading toward his ex-wife’s home when the crash happened, but he probably wasn’t on his way to drop off a child child support payment.

Weinstein’s ex-wife, fashion designer Georgina Chapman, recently bought a farm in Bedford and Weinstein has been renting a small home nearby so he can be close to their kids, another source said.

This is a not a great week to be Harvey (I know, pull out the tiniest of tiny violins). Besides crashing his Jeep into a tree, he also pled not guilty to predatory sexual assault on Monday and Annabella Sciorra will be able to testify against him.

Weinstein pleaded not guilty on Monday to two new counts of predatory sexually assault filed after Manhattan prosecutors re-presented the case against him to a grand jury that heard testimony from “The Sopranos” actress Annabella Sciorra, who claims that Weinstein raped her in 1993.

Those allegations can’t be prosecuted due to the statute of limitations that was in effect at the time, but Sciorra will now be able to testify against Weinstein when he goes on trial in the alleged sexual assault of production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and the alleged rape of a longtime lover, who hasn’t been publicly identified, in 2013.

I’m happy Harvey’s ass is finally seeing some type of karma for years of his predatory behavior. It just sucks it had to come from a random deer instead of our criminal justice system, but hopefully that will change!
