Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Have Chosen Sides In The Taylor Swift Vs. Scooter Braun And Scott Borchetta Drama

In a matter that’s causing all Americans to choose sides and could very well determine our country’s political, sociological, and economic future, celebrities are now choosing sides in the Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta music drama. What, you thought I was referencing impeachment? This ain’t NPR – we tackle the real issues!

To recap – Tay Tay is claiming that Scott and Scooter are preventing her from performing a medley of her old hits at the upcoming American Music Awards unless she meets certain demands of theirs. As you know, Scooter bought Taylor’s old label Big Machine which meant he got all of Taylor’s masters. She’s also claiming they’ve also stalled her upcoming Netflix documentary in relation to her using her old music in it. By the by, she’s being awarded with Artist of the Decade so she wanted to sing all of her old hits in a big medley. S&S are saying that Tay Tay is a fibber, she can do pretty much whatever she wants with her music, and all of these accusations on her part are putting them and the Big Machine employees in danger from the more ferocious Swifties out there. Somewhere, the unidentified Ukraine whistleblower is probably thinking “all of this messy drama over an American Music Award? That shit’s like the Ocean State Job Lot Grammys.”

In addition to a strong show of support from celebs like Halsey, Gigi Hadid, Todrick Hall, Ruby Rose, Tinashe, and Lily Allen, one of Taylor’s long-time friends, Selena Gomez, came out in support of Taylor with a statement that was almost as long as Taylor’s original declaration of music industry unfairness. Yahoo! reports that Gomez, who describes herself as “extremely angry,” wrote a whole essay about it on Instagram Stories. Her heart is heavy, she says.

“It’s greed, manipulation and power,” wrote Gomez, who’s also expected to perform at the AMAs. “There is no heart of thought of anyone else. No respect for the words my friend has written since she was a 14 year old in her bedroom. You’ve robbed and crushed one of our best song writers of our time an opportunity to celebrate all of her music with fans and the world.”

Here’s Selena’s entire heart of thought:

Speaking of Selena, her ex Justin Bieber, who is Scooter’s padawan and has taunted Taylor online in the past over this shit, got involved. US Weekly sez that he posted a screenshot of a TMZ article that said Taylor is either wrong or lying about being unable to perform all of her pre-Lover hits at the show. Harvey Levin must have done a wobbly in his pants over that particular Instagram Stories share.

So – whose side are YOU on? Truthfully, everyone involved in this matter has money falling out of their every hole so it’s difficult to summon up that much sympathy for the major players. The real winner here is the American Music Awards who might actually have some viewers this year who will tune in to see if Tay Tay throws an onstage hissy fit. Or was that the plan all along? Hmmmmm…
