Another Day, Another Set Of Charges Against Cuba Gooding Jr.

Okay, well now the Snow Dogs really are outnumbered. Cuba Gooding Jr. continues to rack up more charges against him, thanks to an alleged history of putting his hands where they most certainly should not be.

When we last checked in with Cuba’s current situation, he was facing an indictment that included twelve accusations from women who claimed he had groped them and creeped on them. Cuba was also facing multiple charges for allegedly groping women at various nightclubs. TMZ says that the Manhattan D.A. announced yesterday that Cuba has two new, fresh charges to add to his collection. It must be so strange for him to be the one on the receiving end of unwanted attention.

Cuba’s latest charges are for: one count of forcible touching, and one count of sexual abuse in the third degree. The D.A. hasn’t revealed who the new accusers are, or when these alleged incidents happened. But TMZ points out that prior accusers include a server from TAO Nightclub, and a patron of the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge. Both of those alleged incidents happened in New York. In all likelihood, one of these new charges could be related to the June groping accusation against Cuba (which allegedly happened at Magic Hour).

For those keeping score on this mess at home, this brings the charges against Cuba to 6, spread out over 3 different accusers. But again, as mentioned above – those are just the women who are seeing charges happen. There are a dozen accusations from other women who have yet to see charges made (or might not see charges made). But as for these two new charges, Cuba will most certainly plead not guilty to them like he did to the first four. Cuba’s attorney Mark Heller tells TMZ:

“The new accuser is just one more splinter that comes out of the woodwork when a celebrity is criminally charged. But none of the splinters will form a plank leading to his conviction because he has not committed any crime.”

That’s a clever wood metaphor there, Mark. Except what if those accusers toss their splinters and form a human bridge that leads to Conviction Island? That would be a pretty big uh oh for Cuba. We’ll have to find out where this goes at Cuba’s next arraignment, which TMZ says is scheduled for Halloween. How festive! Maybe Cuba will show up in a costume? Let’s see, a truly scary Halloween costume is able to send chills down your spine. All he needs is a fake drink in one hand and a pretend coat check ticket from TAO in the other, and Cuba could go as Cuba.
