Ansel Elgort Exposed His Selfie On Instagram

Actor. Artist. DJ. Thirst trap? Those are all words that now come to mind when I think of Ansel Elgort (in addition to the apt anagram Legal Stoner). Ansel was apparently feeling himself in all his Muppet Babies Val Kilmer Real Genius era realness and #IgnitedInstagram with a series of topless selfies for reasons unknown to anybody other than Alsel Elgort. Fellow actor. Artist. Artist. DJ. Thirst Trap Idris Elba please take note and follow suit!

Us Weekly reports that Ansel Elgort, aka Eternal Slog, posted 17 topless selfies within a span of 10 minutes on Instagram last night.

The Baby Driver star, 25, treated his 10.1 million followers to a series of photos of himself shirtless with his hair slicked back in what appeared to be his bedroom. He made the same face in just about every image, some of which he took in front of a mirror and others with the camera in selfie mode. He did not caption any of the posts.

Large El Snot hadn’t posted to Instagram since April making this mosaic of mugs all the more mysterious. Here’s a sampling of The Faces Of Ansel.

A trailer for movie The Goldfinch starring Enlarge Slot was released today, so maybe this art is related. In that movie (based on the novel by Donna Tartt that took me a year to finish), Ansel plays a boy who steals a painting from a museum after his mom is killed in a terrorist bombing.

I don’t remember him dealing with his grief by growing up to become a performance artist obsessed with self portraiture and the artifice of social media, but like I said, it took me a long time to finish that book. Maybe I just forgot.
