Roseanne Barr Will Address Israeli Parliament Next Month

Roseanne Barr is widely recognized for her sensible words, calm demeanour and political correctness. Thus she’s the perfect person to be invited to speak to the parliament of Israel. I guess the Jewish capital of the world just won’t bring up that whole Hitler baking photoshoot Roseanne was a part of, huh?

Deadline is reporting that Roseanne “I Thought The Bitch Was White” Barr will speak at the Israeli Knesset on January 30. She’ll be there to “further” her “knowledge of Jewish and Israeli history” and will also be speaking out against the “BDS movement” which she views as anti-Semitic. The BDS movement is a Palestinian-led call for global boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel because of human rights abuses committed against Palestinians.

Roseanne gave a statement and thankfully it looks like she left the Ambien alone before writing it:

“While I intend to further my own knowledge of Jewish and Israeli history, I have important work to do as a voice against the insidious and anti-Semitic BDS movement… We are in an age where Israeli innovation is ascendant and changing the world in areas of medicine, technology, media and the arts. Israel is an oasis of openness, freedom, democracy and tolerance amidst a desert of brutality from an age gone by. I want to shout this from the heights of the Galilee to the halls of the Knesset in Jerusalem, Israel’s capital city – and from the cafes and art galleries of Tel-Aviv to the beaches of Eilat.”

Hope that Roseanne writes her speech down because I don’t really trust her going off the cuff. I also hope they lock up all the sleeping-aids in Israel while she’s there since they don’t need international relations getting any more fucked up thanks to a racially-charged comedian high off tranquilizers.
