Tyrese Won A Small Victory In His Child Support Fight Against His Ex-Wife

Tyrese Gibson is coming for his money, honey! Tyrese has been having drama with his child’s mother in terms of who takes care of their kid financially and physically. His ex, Norma Gibson, even accused him of some abusive behavior during their battle which he said ruined his career. Well, now that Tyrese has joint custody of his eleven-year-old daughter, Shayla, he’s taking more of a hands-on interest. Namely, he’s interested in who’s hands is on his money!

TMZ is reporting that a year after that messy child support fight with Norma, Tyrese was back in court, but this time his ex-wife was the one he planned to have put on blast. Tyrese was angry about childcare costs which Norma was billing him for and seemed a bit questionable. Tyrese wondered why she’s been spending so much money on babysitters and claims she admitted she was simply “living life”. Tyrese isn’t paying for Norma to live, he’s paying for her to watch their child, and he also said she wasn’t trying to get steady work, so he was like: “Excuse me, ma’am? No. Go apply at McDonald’s.” And a judge agreed!

Court documents show that a judge ruled Norma cannot expect Tyrese to pay for childcare if she’s doing “non-work errands” or just doing household activities.

But it’s not all bad for Norma. There’s a list of things which qualify as “work activities” and they are luxurious. “Developing her life coaching” business qualifies. Working on her book” qualifies. “Pursuing her art” qualifies. So really she can still do nothing but say, “Look Tyrese, I’m holding my MacBook, so this qualifies as me working on my book. Kthankxbai.”

Tyrese also wanted Norma to keep a “detailed, even itemized, accounting” of what Norma is spending his money and time on. The judge agreed, but didn’t actually order Norma to do anything different; he simply suggested she “maintain a diary of time spent on work.”

Something tells me Norma’s work diary is going to look like this:

“Monday – Life coached best friend at brunch.
Tuesday – Worked on book at the Chanel boutique.
Wednesday – Painted at the spa.
Thursday – Life coached personal shopper at Neiman Marcus.
Friday – Book research at Tiffany & Co.”

Keep up the hard work, girl!
